The Committees that support the Chamber’s Mission and Vision perform vital tasks and support initiatives that are essential to achieving our goals. All Committees and Task Forces welcome new members drawn from Chamber membership, and committee members find that the relationships they develop with other Committee members helps them to build their standing in the business community. Ambassadors Committee SCCCC Ambassadors serve as mentors to new members and support Chamber staff at events and programs. This lively and committed group assists members with becoming acclimated and engaged with the Chamber, its programs, and with other members. Ambassadors invite members to events; they meet and greet attendees at Chamber functions and assist Chamber staff with ongoing recruitment and retention efforts.
Communications Committee The Communications Committee supports the staff with implementing the organization's communications plan, technologies, web site advancements and communications vehicles including the newsletter, social media, press relations, membership directory, and other initiatives and projects. The Committee is especially beneficial to those who want to be in the know about Chamber events, the organization's involvement in the community, and business community news.
Community and Government Relations Committee The Community and Government Relations Committee serves as a source of advice and counsel to the on advocacy and business issues of impact and importance to the membership-at-large and the business community in the Southern Chester County region. The Committee shares information within the Chamber, and representatives serve on task forces and committees that address issues in the regional business community.
Membership Committee The Membership Committee is comprised of a group of committed members who support the Chamber's efforts for the growth and development of membership through a structured and focused system of connecting with businesses in the Chamber's service area, and, inviting them to learn more about the organization and its many benefits. Committee members who bring in 5 (or more) new members over the course of 12 months receive a $200 credit toward their next year's dues.
SCC Young Business Leaders The Southern Chester County Young Business Leaders provide ambitious young professionals in the region the opportunity to make valuable connections with peers from different industries, access to the region's most prominent and influential leaders, as well as volunteer opportunities with local nonprofits.
