​A Profile About Our CEO & President Stephen Chambers

Stephen Chambers is typical of many successful CEO’s. They tend to be humble, focused on their work, and quick to acknowledge the role of their team in the success of their company.
Stephen is a native of Chester County.  While he doesn’t like to discuss his humble beginnings, he is very proud to tell you about his company, the Philadelphia Electrical Equipment Company (PEECO).  Stephen will share things such as how his company has grown exponentially in the first few years since he bought the company in 2022 after having worked for it for over ten years learning every aspect of the business.  He will share how proud he is that his switchgear is made in the United States and as an American business owner how humbling it is to work with our brave military with clients such as the United States Army and Navy to name a few.
What is switchgear?  If you ask that question in a popular search engine, the definition may look like, “Switchgear" is a collection of electrical equipment that protects, controls and isolates electrical circuits.”  In layman’s terms?  Switchgear helps ensure that you never lose power even for a second when seconds are everything including with major healthcare systems and data centers, many of which are powered by switchgear installed by PEECO.
Where can you find PEECO’s switchgear in Chester County?  Longwood Gardens and Penn Medicine are two companies that are top of mind.  Where else can you find PEECO’s switchgear?  Across North America and in Europe.  PEECO doesn’t specialize in just one industry.  A recent shipment of switchgear left PEECO’s headquarters in Aston, PA, recently headed for Syracuse and Harvard Universities.  A few weeks before that, custom switchgear went to a data center in the middle of PA (that can’t be named due to the confidential nature of the business).
