Let me tell you a little about me and what I do...A little about my professional background first. I am a CPA by trade. I worked my way through college by working in private industry. I worked my way up through the ranks and eventually spent time as a Controller for a couple companies and finally into the CFO role for two companies. Then I went into Public accounting and learned the tax trade.
Because of my time in the private industry, I learned far more than the typical CPA sitting behind the desk crunching numbers all day. I learned what it was to be in the trenches of running a business every day. The up and the downs.
After a few years, I founded and grew a lovely boutique CPA firm. We focused on Business growth, strategy and improvement. We also did tax returns. Yummy! After a while, it was time to change and move on, so I sold it.
At the time I didn’t know what I wanted to do. My husband asked me to come work for him and help him finally scale up his business the way I had help others do. So, I did.
By the time I left, we were running five highly profitable businesses and were aligned to take it to the next level.
Sadly, my husband passed, and I left most of those businesses. Again, it’s time to move on. Now, I do for others what I did for him. I’m even incorporating things he taught me about leadership and working with people. And, I have fun doing it.
About me personally? I have two grown, wonderful children that are off living theirs lives and doing their thing. I have a dog, Harley, that’s him in the picture if you had not already guessed. I love to camp all over our great country. I love to ride my Harley (the motorcycle, not the dog). I’ve created a life for myself that includes a thriving, growing and successful business as well as a relaxing, enjoyable thriving personal life.
