Luis Tovar Deserving Recipient of Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award
On March 18, the Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce gave its Outstanding Citizens award for 2022.
This year, the recipient is Luis Tovar.
One might ask, what merits this award? After reviewing the number of candidates who have been nominated, the choice comes down to a person who excels in the following qualities: He/she has a vision for southern Chester County; takes active leadership; volunteers; invests in community service; and demonstrates citizenship that positively influences the welfare of the broader community.

SCCCC Recognizes Outstanding Service at 2023 Annual Meeting Breakfast
The Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce kicked off the year with clear and actionable goals, at its Annual Meeting, during which the 2023 Board of Directors was introduced. Speakers included Tim Moore, Immediate Past Chairman who shared strategic accomplishments and initiatives, Doug Doerfler, 2023 Chairman shared his vision and objectives, and President & CEO, Cheryl Kuhn recognized outstanding service of Members. More than 75 members and guests attended the event held on January 19th, at Hartefeld National Golf Club.
The Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Luis Tovar as the 2023 Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award recipient. Mr. Tovar will receive recognition at the Chamber’s Annual Chairman’s Gala on Saturday, March 18th at Longwood Gardens.
