Communications Committee
Who We Are: The Communications Committee supports the staff with implementing the organization's communications plan, technologies, web site advancements and communications vehicles including the newsletter, social media, press relations, and other initiatives and projects. The Committee is especially beneficial to those who want to be in the know about Chamber events, the organization's involvement in the community, and business community news.
What We Do: This is a hands-on committee that oversees media relations, the Chamber’s social media platforms, assisting with web site content, and contributing to the Chamber’s weekly email newsletter and printed publications. All members are welcome to join; the skills of communications, marketing and web development professionals are especially needed. Very often the Communications Committee is asked to expedite tasks in order to communicate in a timely manner prior to Chamber events and initiatives.
When We Meet: Third Wednesday of the month from Noon to 1:00 pm virtually, occasional in person meetings.
Responsibilities:
Communicating with members and the business community is at the heart of the Chamber’s Mission. The Committee is essential to this outreach, assisting the staff by leveraging all channels:
