​Dear Members and Friends,
 
I sometimes like to begin my letters with a favorite quote, such as:

“Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you; spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life.” — Amy Poehler


Friendship in simple words is a relationship you have with your chosen family. Friends are the sisters and brothers we never had; and it may be difficult to put into words how thankful you are for a friend. Most of us do not socialize outside of business, however, we are friends, nonetheless.
This, our spring issue, is very special – as it will walk you through the beautiful and unique vineyards, wineries and tasting rooms of our region. Take time to visit each one – and take along a copy of the magazine – so you can chat with the owners and staff and learn more about their work and what they so proudly produce in our very own communities.
Get to know them and call them a friend! I encourage you to grow your friendships with other members…take the time to learn about them – dig deeper than their career, business or organization. I guarantee you it will make a difference in your relationship – so that when you finally end up talking about business, it will come much easier and have more meaning.
